Major Academic Events: She studied mathematics at the University of Michigan and Earlham College. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1958 and planned to pursue graduate work at Brandeis University. Instead, Hamilton took a temporary position at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Contributions to Computer Science: In 1961, her and her team made all of the Apollo code for the lunar module and the command module which helped land the Apollo 11. One of the pictures above shows her standing next to all of the code that was used for the Apollo code. Also, On July 20, 1969, Margaret and her team helped the lunar module Eagle land on the moon, which held the first astronauts to land on the moon such as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.

Vint Cerf

Birth: June 23, 1943(80 years old)

Major Acedemic Events: He recieved his bachelor's degree in mathematics from Stanford, Cerf worked as a systems manager at IBM for two years. Following that, he attended the UNiversity of Californita where he achieved his PhD and M.S degree.

Contribution to Computer Science: He is a co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols and the architecture of the internet. Vint also invented the internet, which was originally another invention called the Arpanet, but thats not all. He developed TCP/IP packet radio(PRNET), Packet satellite(SATNET), and packet security technology.
